Chosing where to go is the most difficult thing when you start planning your trip. We opened our atlas and just pointed on countries we wanted to visit. We noticed that one year is not that much time if you really want to get to know a country and don´t just want to spent a few days everywhere and then hop to the next country. We decided that four weeks would be generally the minimum time to spend in one country. Considering this one year sounds much too short!!
When you finally decide where to go and start telling your friends you will hear the following:
- just three continents? This is not really a trip around the world!
- You should really go to Africa as well!
- Why don´t you go to any Arabic countries?
BUT we don´t need to defend our choice. We carefully decided where we wanted to go, and this year is about realizing our dream, not about ticking off countries from a list. So this is it, our travel plan:
- Nepal
- Myanmar
- Laos
- Thailand
- Singapur
- Australia
- Chile
- Bolivia
- Peru
- Ecuador
- Colombia
- Panama
- Costa Rica
- New York
All flights until Chile are booked, the rest remains open and we want to leave it this way. We want to leave some space for changes – maybe there is a country we want to stay a little longer?
We hope you enjoy reading about our experiences on this blog! Follow our dream and please comment, share and most importantly – let us know if we can meet somewhere on our trip!
